obama speech on health care

interesting speech. I think politically, Obama did what he needed to do - addressing the issues/critics/republiscums. I think what we will get will be some kind of consumer protection for health insurance. I truly hope for the strong public option, since Obama said we;re not getting single payer (not immediately anyway) I hope that will lead to single payer and that the Feds will allow the states to try single payer.

    I agree. And I think that Obama once again summoned up the magic that swept him into office. Those who weren't impressed never will be, so the fight is where it should be.

    politically, yes, perfect. As far as real reform - there may be some consumer protections added to the present system - with maybe a little public option that's not really enough. If you look at the data from Massachusetts, you will see what the "exchanges" have done. Not good.
